I have Office 2013 and Windows 8.1. F1 doesn't open the help window in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook. I changed my default browser to IE and typed%programdata% in the run menu. I opened the Microsoft window but there was no help file. So I rana quick repair and rebooted, thinking that repair would creat one.

Not surprisingly, It did not work.As I researched this problem before asking my question, I observed that this is a common question and the solution I just mentioned is virtually the only help offered. This fix doesn't seem to work for others as well. Can anyone please offer a better solution?I am posting this under Microsoft Office Word only because there is no category which includes all office products.

Renamed, repaired, even copied the ' C:UsersUser nameAppDataLocalMicrosof Help' file to theProgramData% location, renamed, repaired and still.

No joy.I along with others I also note that there is no VBA context sensitive help locally, F! Simply opens online VBA help database where you have to search for the topic.After a lot of Binging and Googling it appears to me that this is an almost universal problem that no doubt will be miraculously repaired during some future update without Microsoft ever owning up to the deficiency Too big to fail?

Career SeasonThis section of the walkthrough will be the most important because here the players can gather information and direction towards completing other objectives. This section will be slightly different than other and it will be explained completely about the tracks, set-ups, weather conditions, fuel-management, tires, and the importance of each strategy for each race to ensure success no matter your skill level. First, I will name each race, then there will be a map, followed by either pictures and/or a video for 1 lap on what to expect. There are 10 achievements in total. You will need also 2 playthroughs.It is important to remember that dashboarding during the race might change the weather conditions for when the file is next re-loaded.

So it will not be the same for every player and every occasion.So, to start! The first thing you will select is your team. If you have obtained Gold on the Young Drivers Test, you will notice that more teams will be available to you from the start. Though these are low rated teams, there is one team that will stand out in particular: LOTUS F1 TEAM.

The reason is that after testing with this team, the players will not only receive parts much quicker after R&D Testion, but also, they are faster at pitting and the aerodynamics of the car make it a much smoother ride. So for the sake of the guide, this is the team I will personally select. THE IMPORTANT INFORMATIONTYRES: There are 4 sets of tyres on which the player must handle a careful strategy to succeed. Understanding which tyres go with correct situation is vital to winning or even scoring points. These are the tyres:OPTION: Provides the best grip levels in dry weather but wears quickly. This is the best type of tyre for grip and downforce to the track.PRIME: Provides average grip in dry weather and lasts longer than Option tyre. This is the default grip level tyre.

It will allow the car to be carried in longer distances than Option.INTERMEDIATE: Provides a good balance between damp and wet track conditions. It will suffer increased wear and overheat quickly if used on a dry track. This tyre is best used during light rain and weather changes.WET: Use in wet weather. Deteriorates in damp conditions and overheats in the dry. Wet sections on a drying track can help cool the tyres until you can pit. ONLY use these tyres during Heavy rain.Your pit advisor will talk to you throughout the race to let you know important information on weather conditions. He will also let you know when it is important to use the PITS.FUEL: The fuel plays a big part during big races, so anything above 25%, the player will have to manage the fuel.

Understanding when you have enough fuel for another lap, when to conserve, when you can over use, and when to leave it alone is important because this is how you can have the advantage on getting ahead of everyone in the race. There are 3 fuel strategies that can be applied for each race:CAUTIOUS: A cautious fuel strategy places additional fuel to the car. This makes the car heavier and slower but makes fuel management less important during the race. This is the default option for each race.NORMAL: A normal fuel strategy will get you safely to the end of the race and will require some fuel management during the race.AGGRESSIVE: An aggressive fuel strategy under-fuels the car. This makes the car lighter and faster, but will mean that the driver must heavily manage their fuel.

This setting is designed for more experienced players.To know how you are doing in fuel, you will see on the bottom right corner of the screen your fuel-gauge. If this light goes red, of course it means you are running low on fuel.

To keep the strategy on fuel is slightly complex but not impossible to understand. By press Up on the D-Pad twice while racing, you will bring the fuel selection. There are 3 mixes in which your car will burn fuel in different scenarios:RICH (MIX 3): This will make the car burn fuel much faster. The car will pick up speed easier when accelerating. The disadvantage is if you happen to spin during this mix, the car will burn incredible amount of fuel, leaving you stranded and short. And unfortunately, the PIT adds no fuel as you stop by.STANDARD (MIX 2): This is the regular mix in which the car will burn its fuel the way it should. This will give you neither the advantage nor disadvantage over any other opponent.LEAN (MIX 1): This mix will allow the car to burn fuel much slower.

This makes the car slower for you but allows you to conserve it. This is excellent for when it is raining, because you don't need to be going extra fast, since naturally, that means a crash. Conserving fuel in the first few laps of the race, then switching fuels after the first pit-stop might be a key strategy to winning most of the races.Pressing on the D-Pad during the race will allow you to change either tyres or fuel mixes during any time.

Of course, to change the tyres, you must PIT. The strategy here is at the beginning of each race.

There is a RACE-STRATEGY on the right side of the driver while sitting in the garage. From here you are allowed to select ALL of the options that were explained above. So feel free to change them at any time and experiment with them to see which one is best for you. PLAYTHROUGH 1Now to begin the Career, you will notice you have a team-mate.

If you are a decent skilled driver, on EASY difficulty, you should have no problem winning the races and staying ahead of your team mate. Having a good performance will make other teams throw offers on your way also. To get some achievements out of the way, on your very first race, go all the way to the right of your MAIN HUB where the SETTINGS are and select LONG WEEKEND - FULL QUALIFYING.

You will have 1 practice session of 1 full hour, 3 qualifications, and the race. Don't worry, it will not be a whole hour. Once you set a time in which you are happy with, you can press the RB to speed up time x30. DO NOT SKIP TO THE NEXT SESSION. This will make you lose what you have done for progress.Get to the track, select your set-up in which you feel comfortable and start your practice session.

Select FLYING-LAP when going to the track to minimize your waiting time. During this lap, do your best to make the fastest time possible.

Once the lap is complete Click MID SESSION SAVE. This will get you the achievement. 1 guideThen, select SESSION OPTIONS and RETURN TO GARAGE. This will save you SO much time, since you do not have to complete another lap and go to the pit, this will save for you. While being in the garage press RB to speed up time.

This will bring a time table with your time. MAKE SURE that you are the fastest out there.

What you are looking for in this pile of numbers is under the BEST column. Your time will be in purple. Keep an eye on this.Proceed to Qualifying 1, 2, and 3.

In these 3 laps you need to do race your best taking #1 spot on every one of them. The 3rd one is the tricky one because if you are not faster than other cars, you only have 5 minutes to do so. This is why MID SAVE is important. So jump in the track winning your #1 spot.

You will unlock the achievement. Continue on throughout your season, you will notice that on your calendar on top of your HUB, there are races which have a specific sign. One of the important icons is a GEAR. This will represent an R&D Testing for your vehicle. These are NOT required, but upgrading your car might help you have the upper edge from other teams. To start these sessions, you must select LONG WEEKEND - FULL QUALIFYING to have the ability to practice and having the opportunity to complete these challenges.

Each challenge is different and will require the driver to perform certain tasks.Continue racing down the calendar, making sure your options are now set on ONE-SHOT QUALIFYING. This is important and it will minimize your time during this career. During your 10th race, if you have performed well, winning every race that is, you will receive a contract. This will be an e-mail which you must reject or accept. You only have 1 chance, so think carefully. This team will offer you to be a number #1 driver. Even if it is a lower team.

This is VERY IMPORTANT. Swapping teams mid-session will get you the achievement. 2 guidesFrom this point on, there are only 2 more achievements to win for the first year of the career.

But since you are half way, you must work for them. At the YAS MARINA circuit, you will win the Championship and 2 races later you will win the Constructors Championship.

That is, assuming you have gathered enough points to win these. Most likely, you will win every race to win both, however, in case this isn't the case, here's the table of how many points you earn depending on your finishing position for each race:1 place: 252 place: 183 place: 154 place: 125 place: 106 place: 87 place: 68 place: 49 place: 210 place: 1By the end of the season, you should have between 450-475 points. All by yourself.

The Constructors Championship is the sole representation on how you and your team perform. It is well known that your first season will NOT be the most fruitful one because you start in a lower rated team, but keep in mind that winning each race will still make you win the Constructors.

Combined points between the 2 drivers will be the final score for this. Here are 2 examples:- If you win, you have 25 points, and your team mate us 15 place, he has 0 points. So only 25 points will go to the Constructors Chart. 25+0=25.- If you get 3rd place, you have 15 points, and your team make is in 7th place, he will have 6 points. So, easy math, 15+6=21 points for your Constructors Chart.

Ristar87. Once you complete the Season which ends in Brazil, you will have these 2 achievements for your collection. 1 guideIf you feel comfortable by now with your driving skill, you can go right ahead to Grand Prix and complete a 100% race. This race will be over 50 laps so it is more like an endurance race.

Having a good strategy will be vital to winning. So select an easy AI and your favourite track. Select the best team you like. Example: FERRARI. Be ready for a long drive.

Keep in mind you can MID-SAVE anytime you like. This can also be done during career. I personally did it in Monaco. Because it is the most complex track, so it keeps things interesting.

However, that's 78 laps you'll have to endure in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The choice is yours. 2 guides PLAYTHROUGH 2Your second playthrough should be quick, so don't worry about it. You should win only one race, though you will need to qualify in the best position, in order to be easier.

You should finish at least in the podium. This way your teammate will never beat you in the best of 5 teammate challenge. From the second race you can keep retiring at the start if you want to and then as a 1st driver in your team you will decide every decisions on R&D Test, you must get 2 e-mails about the direction you want to do and then an e-mail on Singapore Grand Prix to carry on R&D or end it.
